About the Kirschner Cookbook Collection
St. Paul native Doris Schechter Kirschner received her first cookbook when she was 17 years old and it sparked a lifelong interest in cooking and recipes. Her 1,300+ volume collection, donated to the University Libraries in 1995, has since grown to over 3,500 titles, spans 125 years, and is international in scope. You can explore the Kirschner Collection in the Magrath Library on the St. Paul Campus.
